UNIKE Fellow Corina Balaban has written a review article, which has been published in the 2016 Spring Issue of Learning and Teaching: The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences. The article is called From steward to leader: a decade of shifting roles for the PhD student, and reviews some of the most influential books on doctoral education published in the last ten years.
