Corina Balaban spends three months as visiting scholar at University of Washington

Corina Balaban has just come back from a three-month research trip in the U.S, where she  worked closely with Professor Maresi Nerad, the founding Director of the Center for Innovation and Research in Graduate Education (CIRGE) at the University of Washington.  

Corina Balaban is examining two models of doctoral education in a comparative study between the American IGERT and the European ITN.During her visit, she shadowed Professor Maresi Nerad in her evaluation of an IGERT programme; she also conducted interviews with policy officers in Washington DC, and talked to IGERT students and staff based at two American universities.
