"Universities in a knowledge economy or ecology? Policy, contestation and abjection" - this is the title of the new article, written by professor Susan Wright, which has just been published in the Journal of Critical Policy Studies by Routledge Taylor & Francis Group.

The article is based on a paper, which she gave as a keynote presentation at the UNIKE conference in Auckland in 2014. Later, she developed it further for a keynote speech at the Interpretive Policy Analysis conference at Wageningen in 2014.

In the article, Susan Wright explores the implications of conceiving of universities as in a knowledge economy and develops an alternative way of thinking about universities as participants in an interactive ecology.
